Groundwater protection area (Environmental Vision 2016-2020)

This stock contains groundwater protection areas as established in the Environmental Vision of Groningen 2016-2020. Groundwater protection areas are located around the drinking water extractions (Onnen-De Punt, Sellingen, Bellingwolde). Activities that may deteriorate the quality of groundwater are prohibited here. The same applies to the area and the banks along the Drentsche Aa around and upstream from the intake point (just across the border in the province of Drenthe) of the drinking water withdrawal in the Drentsche Aa. We have included rules on this in the Environment Regulation.Fundwater protection areas consist of three separate, separate elements: — Groundwater protection areas- Drinking water areas- Areas Prohibited Physical Bodemaantasting.
