Dataset description

This file contains the points file of the groundwater quantity measurement network. The groundwater quantity measurement network is designed to measure groundwater levels twice a month. Just over half is equipped with pressure sensors, which measures groundwater levels every hour. Groundwater levels shall be measured in the quantity measurement network. A large part of the quantity measurement network is measured with the help of Divers. These Divers are set at a certain time and measure the water pressure. This water pressure can later be converted to groundwater level. The quantity measurement network gives an impression of groundwater levels over the years. Fluctuations between summer and winter can be easily distinguished in a series of measurements of several years. Groundwater levels are measured both in the phreatic plane and in the deeper aquifer package. Previously, all data was stored in DINO-Grondwatersuite at NITG-TNO in Utrecht. As of 1 January 2018, the law on the basic registration of substrate (BRO) is in force. New wells and groundwater levels are now stored in the wellholder portal to be included in the BRO. Of all the deeper drillings, soil descriptions are also present in the province. In the DINO-Loket of NITG-TNO all drilling descriptions of the Netherlands are stored. This data will also be included in the BRO.
