Dataset description

This table contains figures on the (experienced) health and medical contacts of the Dutch population. The figures can be broken down by gender, age and socio-economic status (origin, education and income level). A different age demarcation applies to some subjects. These ages are mentioned in the relevant topics. The figures in the table are an average over two years of research. The figures are from the Health Survey. The Health Survey is an ongoing survey of the Dutch population aged 0 years and older, residing in private households. All figures are based on at least 100 observations. CBS is moving towards a new classification of the population by origin. From now on, it is more decisive where a person was born, besides where one’s parents were born. The word migration background is no longer used. The main classification of Western/Non-Westerns is replaced by a classification based on continents and common immigration countries. This classification is gradually introduced in tables and publications with population by origin. Data available from: 2014/2015 Status of the figures: the figures are final. Changes as of 10 March 2023: None, this is a new table. This table replaces the Health and Care Use table; gender, age, personal characteristics, 2014-2021 (see paragraph 3) and deviates from them on the following points: — The topics “pain”, “(Very) a lot of pain”, “artificial teeth, 18 years of age or older”, “Real teeth and chooses, 18 years or older”, percentage of people without real teeth and choosing ' have been added. — The figures can be broken down by origin groups as CBS started using it in 2022. The old format “migration background” has been discontinued. — The reliability margins are represented for all years as asymmetric margins, rather than the previously used symmetrical margins for 2014-2019. This may result in the margins in the new table showing small differences with the margins in the previous table. — The disappearance of subjects that will no longer be measured in 2022. When are new figures coming? Figures for 2022/2023 will be published in the new table in the third quarter of 2024.
