Dataset description

This table provides an up-to-date overview of the key figures available on StatLine in the broad field of health and care. All figures come directly from other tables on StatLine or obtained through a simple conversion. The original tables from which the figures originate provide possibilities for breakdown by characteristics of persons or other units. The moment when new figures become available is not the same for all number sequences. The series of grades on the number of graduates/graduates shows the number of persons who have obtained a diploma in school or academic year t-1 to t for reporting year t. Data available from: 2001 Status of the figures: Most of the figures are final. The last added year is provisionally for: — AWBZ/Wlz-funded care with residence; — medicinal products provided; — graduate doctors and nurses; — doctors and nurses working in the care sector; — MBO graduates; — average nursing duration of clinical admission hospital; — general practitioner patients by diagnosis; — institutions: profitability and yield per working year; — perinatal mortality at gestational duration of 22 weeks or more; — hospitalisations for diagnosis. The last two years have been provisional for: — persons working in health and welfare care. For expenditure on care, the figures for 2020 are provisional and the figures for 2018 and 2019 are further provisional; the other figures are final. Amendments as of 22 December 2021: New figures have been added to existing series for: — AWBZ/Wlz-funded care with residence; — medicinal products provided; — Number of 80+ers; — causes of death; — youth care; — perinatal mortality at gestational duration of 24 weeks or more; A new series has been added for COVID19 as a cause of death. Changes as of 9 June 2021: The figures on “qualified mbo health care” have been replaced by new series of MBO-certified care and nursing. New series have been added on youth care and long-term care indications. Series on AWBZ/WMO-funded care without residence have been removed. The deleted series on MBO graduates and care without residence are still available on StatLine, namely in the MBO tables; graduates, training in detail, sector 1990/“91-2015/”16 and Persons with indication/use of ZZV; basis, Personskenm., 2009-2014. See paragraph 3 for the links to these tables. When are new figures coming? The latest figures available at that time will be published in the second quarter of 2022.
