Dataset description

This table contains information on the loss and profit account, balance sheet, investments, staff deployment, capacity and production of groups of companies whose main activity is hospital care, mental health care, disabled care, nursing home care, home care, social care and women’s care and youth care. This concerns only publicly funded enterprise groups. The enterprise groups are classified by main economic activity according to the Standard Business Classification (SBI) 2008. This is a so-called institutional perspective that takes into account all the ancillary activities of the group of companies considered. Year-on-year developments in finance, personnel and production are partly influenced by population changes. Changes in the main activity, incorporations and abolitions lead to changes in the population of enterprise groups. Mergers, acquisitions and divisions can also result in changes in the population. Data available: 2006-2011 Status of the figures: All figures shown in the table are final figures. With the exception of 2011 data. These are for now. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be definitive. Changes as of 13 November 2013: This table has been discontinued and has been followed up by the new table ‘Care institutions; finance, staff, production and capacity’ (see paragraph 3). When are new figures coming? This table has been discontinued.
