Dataset description

This table provides figures on the calculated power (MW) and production (generated electricity, million kWh) of wind energy on land and solar power, from 2018. The data do not include offshore windmills. The climate agreement sets out the following objective: at least (weather-dependent) 35 TWh of land-based renewable energy generation by 2030. This declaration relates to wind and solar power installations > 15 kilowatts (kW). The Regional Energy Strategy (RES) sets out the regional share of the national challenge as concretely as possible. In order to monitor progress towards this objective, an additional breakdown of solar power installations is included in the table: small (<= 15 kW) and large (>15 kW) power. The figures can be broken down by province, RES and subRES regions. The regional breakdown is always based on the municipal classification of the year in question. The installations as of 31 December 2019 are thus represented in the 2019 regional breakdown, and as of 31 December 2020 in the 2020 regional breakdown. This table was drawn up in the framework of Vivet (improving the information provision of the energy transition) and is financed by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy. Data available vanaf:2018 Status of the figures: Data for 2019 are final, the data for 2020 are further provisional. Changes as of December 2021: The solar current figures have been updated: final 2019 figures and further preliminary figures 2020. When will there be new figures: The table is updated every year in June/July. The figures from two years back become definitive and there will be further provisional figures for the previous year.
