Hoger onderwijs (HO) eerste- en ouderejaars

This table shows the number of first and year-old students in publicly funded higher education institutions by type of education, field of study, migrant background and year of study. This table also shows the number of students enrolled in some designated institutions: Theological universities and the University of Humanitarian Affairs. Since the 2016/'17 academic year, the Transnational University of Limburg has also been included. The ISCED F2013 classification is used in this table. ISCED-F1997 has been used in previous tables by field of study. The two classifications are not consistent with each other. It was therefore decided to make a new series from the academic year 2015/'16 onwards. This table shows the annual breakdown of students between different fields of study. Due to clustering and breakdowns of studies from year to year, this table is less suitable for comparing disciplines over the years. Data available from: Academic year 2015/'16. Status of the figures: The figures for the school years up to and including 2019/‘20 are final and for the school year 2020/’ 21 are provisional. Amendments as of 22 October 2021: The final figures for the school year 2019/‘20 and provisional figures for the school year 2020/’ 21 have been added. When will there be new figures? An update will follow in the course of 2022.
