Dataset description

The table provides insight into the amounts paid under disability legislation. This concerns the Incapacity Insurance Act (WAO), the Incapacity Insurance Act (WAZ), the Disability Insurance Act for Young Disabled Persons (Wajong), the Work and Employment Support Act for Young Disabled Persons (Wet Wajong) and the Work and Income by Work Capacity Act (WIA). For attention: Carrying information can be based on two different methods: — the transaction method (also called accrual basis), whereby an amount paid is attributed to the (report) period to which the payment relates, regardless of the period during which the payment actually took place; — the method of registration (also known as the cash base or the registration basis), whereby a paid amount is allocated to the (report) period during which the payment actually took place, regardless of the period to which the payment relates. The amounts of benefits in this table are determined according to the registration method. As a result, the amounts deviate from the same type of amounts found in the public finances on StatLine. The amounts shown therein relate to the contributions and benefits of statutory social insurance in terms of the European System of Accounts (ESA95). This system is the basis of the National Accounts system and is based on the transaction method. With effect from January 2012, the benefits in this table do not include the WSW savings. Data is available from 1998 to 2015. Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final except for the last 2 months and the 2015 annual figures. As this table has been discontinued, the figures are no longer definitive. Changes as of 30 March 2018: None, the table has been discontinued. When are new figures coming? No longer applicable.
