Dataset description

This table provides information on the amount of waste released from the mineral extraction industries, industry, energy supply, water extraction companies and waste management. Wastes are broken down by industry by type of waste and the method of treatment. Commercial wastes are classified by waste types. Waste types are classified according to Eural codes that are aligned with the European Waste Statistics Regulation. The Eural codes are codes for waste as listed in the European Waste List. This table further distinguishes between chemical and non-chemical waste. The non-chemical wastes are further disaggregated. The released commercial waste shall be recovered or offered for final processing. Data available from 1994 to 2019. Status of the figures: All figures are final. Changes as of 2 July 2021: None, this table has been discontinued. Changes as of 7 April 2021: The underlying encodings of the classifications used in this table (Business branch/branch (SBI 2008) and Useful application and final processing) have been adjusted. These are now in line with the standard coding established by CBS. The structure and data of the table have not been modified. When are new figures coming? No longer applicable. This table is followed by industrial waste; waste type, industry (SBI 2008) and industrial waste; processing method, industry (SBI 2008). See paragraph 3.
