Dataset description

This table contains data on the inhabited living spaces on 1 January, composed of various sources. This table provides insight into the number of homes, non-residentials and stand and berths in the Netherlands that are registered in the Basic Registers Addresses and Buildings (BAG), as well as objects that are outside this registration and where persons are registered at the address in question. In the case of pitches, mobile homes can be considered. Berths are usually houseboats. The Basic Registration of Persons (BRP) has been used to determine the habitation; if a registration at the address of the living space is known in the BRP, the living space is characterised as inhabited. The data will be further broken down by parts of the country, provinces, COROP areas and municipalities. The table was commissioned by the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK). Data available from: 2012 Status of the figures: The figures from 2012 to 2021 are final. Amendments as of 18 November 2021: The figures for the intermediate regions (COROP area, province, part of the country) are added. Figures up to 2020 have previously been published as Additional Statistical Services. When are new figures coming? The figures for 2022 will be published in early November 2022.
