CBS conducts an Innovation Survey every two years. This will create an an overview of the state of play of innovation Dutch companies. The research includes a great diversity of aspects of the concept of innovation. One survey covers three reporting years (this is the reporting period). The Last year in one survey is the same as the first year in the it’s next. Because in every new Innovation survey new topics are to be included, the results per survey will be included in a separate table shown. The Dèze table contains all the results of the Innovation survey for the reporting period 2000-2002. The first Innovation Survey took place over the period 1994-1996. From this first reporting period up to the 2000-2002 reporting period, the survey conducted at companies established in the Netherlands with 10 or more employees. In the 1996-1998 and 1998-2000 reporting periods, companies with 1 to 10 employees were surveyed. From the reporting period 2002-2004, the population covers all holdings in The Netherlands with 10 or more persons employed. The main difference between workers and employed persons is that employees only concern persons who are on the payroll of a company to prevent, while to the employed persons also the owners and assisting family members not included in the payroll are counted.
