International trade and transit; value, weight, goods, mode of transport

This table provides an overview of international flows of goods from, to and through the Netherlands. The table shows for import, export, re-export and transit flows and warehousing movements the value and gross weight of the goods transported by group of goods, mode of transport, type of cargo (whether or not transported in containers), country group of origin or destination and country group of loading or unloading. This table is co-financed by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management. The update of 10 December 2021 also revised the provisional figures for the year 2019 due to changes in source material. In addition, an improvement in the approach has mainly had an impact on the estimated value of goods of total transport and transit in 2019: these have been adjusted upwards, with the result that they are better in line with the estimated values for the surrounding years. Data available from: 2007 Status of the figures: The figures in this table are provisional. Changes as of 17 March 2022: As regards confidentiality rules, the estimated values of imports, transit and total transport of coal by sea and natural gas through pipelines have been removed from the table from a number of country groups and continents. When will there be new figures? The new provisional figures are generally available one year after the end of the reporting year. The figures on international flows of goods can be adjusted on the basis of the availability of new or updated source material. As a result, the figures are provisional for a longer period.
