Dataset description

The Judiciary has set up a RESTful web service for disclosure of judgments (content) and ECLI data (metadata). This web service can be requested to get documents and/or metadata supplied in XML format. The questioning of the ECLI index is hereby separated from requesting ruling documents. Requesting a set of ruling documents that meets one or more criteria is thus done in two steps: first, the ECLI index is examined using the criteria. This results in a set of ECLIs, which is then used to retrieve the ruling documents. More than 500,000 statements are available. The RSS feed is configurable. Of more than 2 million judgments, only the key data (ECLI number, name of authority, case number, date of ruling) and possibly a location are included.
