Dataset description

This table contains figures on: Average number of children per woman per birth generation. Percentage of women by child by birth generation. Average age of the mother at the birth of the first child per birth generation. Data available from: birth Generations 1935-2020 Status of the figures: The birth generations 1935-1959 are based entirely on observations. The birth generations since 1960 are based on observations and forecasts. Changes by: 17 December 2010. The forecast has been revised on the basis of the most recent insights, the forecast period now runs from 2010 to 2060. When are new figures coming? The new population forecast comes out in December 2012.
