Dataset description

Well-known archaeological sites of provincial importance (values) are not exempted for well-known archaeological sites of provincial importance (values) adopted by Provincial Staten van Drenthe on 2 July 2014. Applies to both in situ and ex situ preservation. From a selection of well-known and valued archaeological sites (values), the province of Drenthe believes that they should be preserved ‘in situ’ (in the soil) for future generations and future scientific research. Together with the provinces of Groningen and Fryslan, the province of Drenthe maintains the Northern Depot in Nuis. Here, the archaeological heritage ex situ is managed responsibly and made accessible for research. Appears in Map 2 E: Information Archaeology.
