Dataset description

This table provides data on the size and composition of labour costs in private companies and institutions. The data on labour costs are detailed at: — economic activity according to the Standard Business Classification (SBI) 1993; — year. Data available from 1997 to 2005. The labour cost research is part of a European research coordinated by Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. Status of the figures: The figures from 1997 to 2004 are final. The 2004 figures are provisional. As this table has been discontinued, the 2005 figures are no longer definitive. Change as of 1 March 2017: None, this table has been discontinued. Changes compared to the previous version Corrected by: 15 January 2007 Reason correction: As a result of the completion of the 2004 labour cost survey, the figures for the years 2001 to 2004 have been revised. The data from the 4-year labour cost surveys are used to calculate the intermediate years. The figures for the years 1997 to 2004 are now definitive. The figures from 2005 are provisional. Labour costs per hour worked have changed for all years from 1997. This is because the unpaid overtime hours are included in the hours worked. As a result, labour costs per hour worked are lower, compared to the previous results. When are new figures coming? No longer applicable.
