Dataset description

This table provides data on the characteristics of the labour force, broken down by personal characteristics and categories of occupations (according to CBS Standard Professional Classification 1992). Data available from 1996 to 2011. Status of the figures Figures are final. Changes as of 18 March 2015: None, this table has been discontinued. Changes as of 4 June 2012: The data for 2011 have been added to this table. In addition, compared to the previous version, this table changes the data on employees with a permanent or flexible employment relationship for all years. The reason for this is that the definition of a flexible employment relationship has been broadened. Previously, employees with a temporary contract and fixed hours with a view to a permanent contract and also employees with a temporary contract of one year or more and fixed hours were counted among the permanent employees. These are now considered to be the flexible employees. When are new figures coming? This table has been discontinued. The update of 4 June 2012 was the last update of this table. New revised tables on the labour force were published on 26 February 2015. This revision of the statistics of the labour force has two parts. The definitions have been adapted to the internationally agreed definitions and data collection has been improved by being the first statistical office in Europe to survey via the Internet. For more information on the revision, see the link to the press release in paragraph 3.
