Dataset description

This table contains figures on the employment history of the Dutch population (aged 15 years or older) in the last 4 years which were entered in the population register of a Dutch municipality on 31 December of the reporting year. The work history figures over the past 4 years are broken down by continuous employment, partly employed and inactive and are based on a continuous working period of 4 years. Data on labour history are further broken down by gender, age and region. The regional data are based on the regional breakdown of 1 January 2022. Persons working in international organisations are considered working in the current table. This applies from the 2011 level year. Data available: 2 004 to 2021 Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final, with the exception of the last reporting year 2021. The results in this table are presented according to the municipal breakdown of 1 January 2022. Changes as of 19 January 2023: None, this is a new table. Compared to the predecessor of this table (see paragraph 3), the method of calculation of the labour market position of persons has changed. As a result, for the years 2007 to 2021 there may be marginal differences compared to previous versions of this table. In addition, it has been chosen not to continue the possibility of disaggregating by migration background in this new table. At a later date, an additional table will appear in which work history can be crossed with both migration background and educational level, but in which the characteristic region will not be taken into account. When will there be new figures: The figures for 2022 appear in a new regional breakdown table of 2023 at the beginning of 2024.
