Dataset description
This file contains the Lauwersmeer National Park as established in the Environmental Vision of Groningen 2016-2020.
Lauwersmeer National Park is the only National Park in our province. It is also Natura 2000 site. The government is expected to finalise the Natura 2000 management plan Lauwersmeer in 2016. After that, the provinces of Fryslân and Groningen will take care of their implementation.
We want to strengthen the recreational opportunities of the Lauwersmeer. There is an implementation programme for this. In this we work together with our area partners to make the National Park more enjoyable for hikers, cyclists, birdwatchers, fishermen and water sports enthusiasts.
