Dataset description

This table contains cumulative quarterly figures on the expenditure and volume of subsidies charged to the Long-term Care Act (Wlz). The figures refer to care in kind, not care paid from personal budgets. This concerns, first, the Wlz grants to institutions for the provision of direct callable assistance in general daily life operations (ADL), second, temporary grants to organisations for the provision of outpatient treatment, transport to and from treatment, and third, for medically necessary first-line stays. As of reporting year 2017, this table is no longer supplemented by figures on first-line residence because the grant scheme for first-line stay was transferred to the Zorgverzekeringswet (Zvw) as of 2017. The figures are based on declarations of realised care by healthcare institutions to healthcare offices and come from the Zorginstituut Nederland. Data available from Q1 2015 to Q4 2020 Status of the figures: The figures are final. Changes as of 23 February 2021: — The cumulative figures on outpatient treatment (expenditure, hours and parts of the day) in the period January to September 2020 have been adjusted, and cumulative figures on outpatient treatment in the period January to December 2020 have been added. — Figures for 2020 have been finalised. — The table was discontinued because the Wlz grant extramural treatment was transferred to the Zvw as of 1 January 2021. As of reporting year 2017, the Wlz grant scheme has already been transferred to the Zorgverzekeringswet (Zvw). When are new figures coming? None, this table has been discontinued.
