Dataset description

This table describes the lifestyle and preventive behaviour of the Dutch population. The following aspects of lifestyle and preventive behaviour are discussed: — smoking — alcohol consumption — height, weight, underweight and overweight — use of the contraceptive pill — preventive research — flu vaccination — physical activity The data comes from the CBS Health Survey and can be divided into various personal characteristics. The Health Survey is an ongoing survey of the Dutch population in private households. This table has been discontinued because a new table has been launched as of statistical year 2014. See paragraph 3. Data available from 2010 to 2013 Status of the figures: final Changes as of 5 April 2016: The 2013 figures have been supplemented by the breakdown by income, wealth and prosperity. Changes as of 8 April 2015: The figures on physical activity have changed for the years 2012 and 2013. The calculation turned out not to be correct, so among other things the figures on compliance with the Dutch standard of healthy exercise were too high. This has now been corrected. When are new figures coming? This table is no longer supplemented. Figures for the years from 2014 on lifestyle and (preventive) health research can be found in table Lifestyle and (preventive) health research; personal characteristics. See paraphrase 3.
