Dataset description

Municipalities receive money from the government from the municipal fund. By doing so, they pay part of their expenses. Since 2015, municipalities have been responsible for the implementation of the Youth Act, Participation Act and WMO (Social Domain). For the distribution of the national budget for the implementation of these three laws on the municipalities, distribution models have been developed. On behalf of the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK), CBS compiles figures with which these distribution models can be calculated. This table contains data that serve as a basis for determining the distribution of the national budget among the municipalities for the purposes of the Youth Act, Participation Act and Wmo. Data available for 2016 Status of the figures: The figures in this table are definitive but compiled on the basis of data from different sources, calculated on different base years. This means that the figures are not exactly comparable to those already published on StatLine. This is explained in more detail in the explanatory memorandum on the subjects. Changes as of 31 May 2018: The name and explanation of the indicator ‘Persons with a Wajong benefit’ has been amended, which concerns ‘Wajong benefits’ and not ‘Persons with a Wajong benefit’. That’s right now in the table. When are new figures coming? The new figures are expected to be available at the end of May 2017. These will be in a new, separate StatLine table.
