Dataset description

What do you see? This map shows to what extent there is moisture in the soil through the plant roots during the growing season. The moisture supply determines to a large extent the growth and the related crop yield. In periods with a high moisture supply, the risk of growth stagnation is low in periods of precipitation, and the likelihood of slowing down and therefore a lower yield is high in the case of low moisture supply. What’s the value? The map shows areas where moisture shortages may occur during the growing season. Who is this important to? This map provides important information for national governments (EZ, E & M), province, municipalities and management organisations of erosion-sensitive areas.
