Dataset description

This table contains the data compiled by CBS for the Monitor Note Space 2008 (MNR3). The Space Note contains the government’s vision on the spatial development of the Netherlands and contains the spatial contribution to a strong economy, a safe and liveable society and an attractive country. In total, more than 60 indicators have been developed for this monitor. Scientific criteria, such as the presence of sufficient, reliable and relevant data, have been leading in the choice and operationalisation of the indicators. CBS has provided data for 19 indicators. In many cases, development is monitored within certain, well-defined areas. In most cases, it was about the number of homes, sometimes the number of inhabitants. The results in this table are presented according to the municipal breakdown of 1 January 2008. The table shows the situation on 1 January 2000 and 2008 as well as developments per 2-year period between the two dates. This allows the data to be better compared over time, regardless of municipal border changes, the abolition of municipalities or the formation of new municipalities in the intermediate period. Of a small number of homes and inhabitants, the exact location is not known in coordinates. As much as possible, they have been distributed with the help of other sources. The total of residents and dwellings inside and outside the defined areas (contours) is therefore not always equal to the municipal total. Data available from 2000 to 2008. Status of the figures: The figures in this table are final Changes as of 14 October 2019: None, this table has been discontinued. When will there be new figures: No longer applicable.
