Dataset description

This table provides information on the evolution of the turnover of the motor and automotive industry (SBI50). The results are expressed in indices based on the year 2000. It is also the development of compared to the same period of the year before. Data available from: 1st quarter 1995 Frequency: discontinued as of 29 May 2009 Status of the figures: All figures are final. Changes as of 10 June 2009: This table does not go beyond results for the fourth quarter of 2008. The statistical analysis that forms the basis of the results in as from the first quarter of 2009, this table has a two major changes First, the basis has been shifted from the year 2000 to 2005. Second, CBS’s Standard Business Classification (SBI) is drastic revisited. Until 2009, the SBI'93 was used, which was established in 1993. In 2008 has been a major revision of the international classifications ISIC and NACE (see paragraph 2) and hence of the following based on SBI. This makes these layouts more closely related to the business activities of this time. The above means that the SBI codes of the SBI'93 and SBI 2008 it’s different. An SBI code from the 2008 version gives a different activity the same SBI code from the 1993 version. The composition can also be have changed from an activity group such as an industry or industry. For the above reasons, CBS has started a new table from the first quarter 2009, see paragraph 3. In addition, all publication series for the period 2003-2008 converted into the breakdown of SBI 2008 and included in the new table
