Motor vehicle fleet; type, age class, 1 January, 2000-2022

This table contains key figures on road vehicles (passenger cars, commercial vehicles by vehicle category and motorcycles), but excluding mopeds, broken down by age class of the vehicle. The figures are based on information from the registration number of RDW. With the help of this registration, censuses were made of all vehicles with current registration plates that appeared in the registration file on 1 January of the year in question. Since 2004, the total number of vehicles is not quite comparable to previous years in connection with separate registration of trailers and semi-trailers. Data available from: 2000 to 2022.
