Motorcycles; average annual mileage, displacement/age, 2003-2004

This publication contains data on average annual mileages of motorcycles by cylinder capacity and by vehicle age. Based on data on odometer readings from the National AutoPas (NAP) data file, CBS calculated annual mileage for motorcycles. The NAP Foundation has a large number of mileages of Dutch motorcycles. It receives this data after a service or repair, from garages, repair companies and service stations, which are affiliated with the foundation. Since the data of the national car pass are available by separate registration number, it is possible to relate technical data of motorcycles to the distance travelled. These technical characteristics come from the active motorcycle park of the RDW (Rijksdienst for Road Traffic). Data available from 2003 to 2004. The 2004 data are provisional.
