Municipal waste; quantities 1993-2015*

This table provides information on the amount of municipal waste, broken down by type of waste, method of collection and method of processing. The figures are given for the Netherlands total, for parts of the country and provinces, and for size class and urbanity of municipalities. The size class is based on the number of inhabitants of the municipalities. The statistics relate only to waste collected by or on behalf of the municipalities. As an exception, textiles and waste paper and cardboard collected by charitable organisations, schools and associations are counted. Data available from 1993 to 2015. Status of the figures: The data for 2014 are further provisional and the data for 2015 are provisional. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be definitive.
