Dataset description

This table contains figures on the net evolution of the labour market for the sectors of care and well-being; this is an aggregation of all sectors of care and well-being. The figures are broken down by AZW sectors, country, part of the country, province and RegioPlus labour market regions. The percentages shown are a three-year average with the reference date for each year the last Friday before Christmas. The calculations relate to workers’ main jobs. The determination of the region is based on the employee’s municipality of residence. For the determination of the AZW industries, the main activity (SBI code) of the company where an employee works. This may not be the only activity that a company undertakes. In the main activity “Other social advice, community houses and cooperation bodies in the field of well-being” (SBI Code: 88999) account is also taken of the collective agreement under which the employee is employed. Workers falling under CAO codes 0004 to 0300 or under CAO codes 0302 to 8102 are classified under ‘Other Care and Welfare’. Employees falling under another collective agreement code are classified under ‘Social Work (Other)’. A complete overview of all CAO codes can be found under paragraph 3. This table does not include figures on net labour market trends for the sectors of care and welfare (for a reference to these figures see paragraph 3). If the sectors in care and well-being are narrow, this means that childcare is not presented because childcare is not widely included in the labour market care and well-being. As a result, the figures on net labour market trends refer broadly to a population other than those on care and well-being narrow. Figures on different populations are not published in the same table. The labour market figures in care and well-being are presented in their own table. This table has been developed in the framework of the Labour Market, Care and Welfare Research Programme (AZW). For more trends and developments in the labour market in care and well-being, see azwstatline.cbs.nl (see paragraph 3). Data available from: 2010/2012 three-year averages. Status of the figures: The figures in this table are provisional. Changes as of 19 May 2022: The table is supplemented by the three-year average over the period 2019/2021. The figures for previous periods have been revised as a result of the use of more recent sources. When are new figures coming? New figures are expected in mid-2023.
