Dataset description

Every month, CBS calculates the series of Nieuwbouwwoningen; input price index construction costs. This shows the development of the costs (wage and material) involved in the construction of new homes in the Netherlands. An input price index is determined on the basis of the price developments of the different cost components from which the product to be realised — in this case a new home — is built. In the composition of this index, changes in the prices of equipment (tools and machines), general costs and ‘profit and risk’ are excluded. Costs for energy and transport are also not included in the calculation because their impact on the final cost is relatively small. The price evolution of land costs is also not included in this input price index. Data available from: January 08 until January 2018 Status of the figures: The input price index of the labour component and the total construction costs are final until 2016. The material component is final until August 2017. The period during which the price indices are provisional depends on the closing of the collective agreements involved in the Input. This period can range from 4 to approximately 16 months after the period for which the figures are calculated. Since this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be finalised. Changes as of 7 April 2021 None, this table has been discontinued. When are new figures coming? No longer applicable. This table is followed up by the table Nieuwbouwwoningen; input price index construction costs 2015=100. See paragraph 3
