Dataset description

The map shows the number of children (2-6 years) per km² living in older homes and may therefore be exposed to more lead. Before 1945, drinking water pipes were mainly built in homes. This has stopped from about 1960. The drinking water companies mostly replaced the outdoor water pipes in the period 1995-2002. Homeowners are responsible for indoor pipes. In older buildings there is therefore a chance that lead pipes will still be present.
