Dataset description

P R stands for Parking and Travel and is the smartest parking place for visitors to Amsterdam. These are cheap parking spots on the outskirts of the city where you can easily switch to public transport. In the JSON file below (Locaties.json) these are listed as parking locations with type “P R”In addition, P R routes are also shown in the file “p_r_routes.json”. This dataset is not exhaustive in connection possibilities but includes a selection of the public transport network to reach the city centre from P R locations. All the lines together form the network. In the geojson, the field ‘Transport type’ (tram, metro, bus, train) and ‘title’ (CFP line number, or in the case of train an optional route description) is indicated which of the (selected) public transport lines use this section as part of their route. The field “P_R” refers to the name of one or more of the P R locations, as found in file locations.json, which are connected via this route. N.B. 1: This dataset is designed for the schematic display of municipal P R information on map and is not a representation of the actual entire public transport network in Amsterdam. information is oriented to display selective information and texts, does not lend itself to public transport planning, and contains partly unencrypted data but fields with audience texts.N.B. 2: The Transport Type field contains a deviating type of “centre zone” that contains the polygon data of the P R Center area. N.B. This dataset is designed for the schematic display of municipal P R information on map and is not a representation of the actual entire public transport network in Amsterdam.
