Dataset description

Since 1946, the Central Bureau of Statistics has held regularly research on regional income distribution. These studies are mainly based on registers from the Ministry of Finance (the tax registers) and the Dutch municipalities (the population registers = GBA). The final results from the Regional Income Survey (RIO) are based on a sample of 1.9 million households. Income distributions of persons and households, by country, province, COROP area, metropolitan agglomeration, city-west and municipality. Data available from: 2002 The reference date is 1 January 2003; the data relate to the research year 2002. Frequency: one-off Because the municipal division changes every year, results from the RIO for each individual research year published; aggregation or division of municipalities as a result, all information related to income in a newly formed or split municipality can significantly change this means that comparability in time is not possible.
