This table shows the number and percentage of persons registered in the Basic Registration Persons (BRP) at any time in the reporting year to whom medicinal products have been provided during the reporting year which are reimbursed under the compulsory basic medical care insurance. Until 2010, the figures also cover supplies of medicinal products to persons registered in the BRP but no longer resident in the Netherlands.
Medicines provided to admitted persons in hospitals (hospital care) and nursing homes (AWBZ/Wlz) are not included. Medicines provided to persons in nursing homes are included.
The figures are broken down by drug group, age and gender.

The 2020 figures are provisional. The remaining figures are final.

The 2019 figures have been finalised and the provisional figures for 2020 have been added.
