Dataset description

This table contains data on persons moved within municipalities and between municipalities in the Netherlands. The data can be divided into: Key figures, numbers and ratios by region; Within municipalities, people moved to: — family situation and region (until 2010); — gender, age and region; — gender, marital status and region; — gender, Dutch nationality and region. Established persons to: — family situation and region (until 2010); — gender, age and region; — gender, marital status and region; — gender, Dutch nationality and region. People departed to: — family situation and region (until 2010); — gender, age and region; — gender, marital status and region; — gender, Dutch nationality and region. The regions listed in the table are territories, provinces, COROP areas and municipalities. The regional totals presented concern aggregations of municipalities. In case of border changes that cross different regional borders, the division of the municipalities is grouped according to the most recent situation. For example: for the municipality of Vianen, which has moved from the province of Zuid-Holland to the province of Utrecht as of 01-01-2002, it is grouped in the table in the province of Utrecht. Data available from: 1988 Status of the figures: All figures shown in the table are final figures. Amendments as of 17 June 2022: The final figures for 2021 have been added to the table. When are new figures coming? In the 3 rd quarter of 2023, the final figures for 2022 are published in this table.
