Dataset description

This table provides figures on the number of persons benefiting from social security benefits by municipality, district and neighbourhood (classification 2020). It concerns persons with invalidity, unemployment, old-age and social assistance benefits. It is possible that a person may claim more than one benefit. These may be benefits of the same type (e.g. two benefits under the Incapacity Insurance Act (WAO)) or two benefits of different types (such as a benefit under the Unemployment Act and a social assistance benefit). In the latter case, the person is included in both types of benefits, in the first case only once (in the case of the WAO). In the category of persons with a benefit (total) the person is, of course, counted only once. The figures on the number of persons receiving benefits per neighbourhood, district or municipality may differ slightly from figures published elsewhere on StatLine by using the latest data from the Basic Persons Register (BRP). Since several StatLine tables are updated at different times, it may be that for one table a different version of the BRP is used than for another table. In that case, the latest published figures are the most accurate. The figures refer to the last day of the reporting month. Data available from: March 2020. Status of the figures: The 2020 figures are provisional. Changes by: 31 January 2022 The provisional figures from October to December 2020 for persons receiving disability benefits have been added. When will there be new figures? These figures by municipality, district and neighbourhood with classification 2021 appear in a new table
