Persons using Zvw first-line residence; care performance

Persons can use first-line residence in kind through the Zorgverzekeringswet (Zvw). First-line stay can be used if short-term stay is medically necessary in connection with medical care such as general practitioners who commit to provide, with 24-hour supervision or care in the vicinity, whether or not accompanied by nursing, care or paramedical care. This table provides information on the use of first-line residence in kind during a reporting year, the use at a given reference date and the size of care and average expenditure per care user. The figures are broken down by gender, age at 31 December of the reporting year and care performance first-line stay. Experiments are not taken into account. Data available from: 2017 Status of the figures: The figures for the last year are provisional, the figures for previous years are final. Amendments as of 24 December 2021: Figures for 2020 have been added and figures for 2019 have been finalised. When are new figures coming? The provisional figures shall be published no later than 12 months after the end of the reporting year. When new annual figures are published, the figures for the previous year become final.
