Dataset description

This table shows the number and proportion of people who have an indication of care with stay at the reference date. This care was funded until 2015 by the General Act on Special Medical Expenses (AWBZ) and from 2015 by the Long-term Care Act (Wlz). It concerns only persons who are registered in the BRP at the point of reference. As of 2015, long-term care will be partly financed by the Wlz. As of 2015, part of long-term care will be financed by other laws: the Social Support Act (Wmo) 2015, Zorgverzekeringswet (Zvw) and the Youth Act. Only the Wlz indications are included in this table and partner stays are excluded and the first-line stay subsidy scheme is excluded. The figures are broken down by gender, age and base. In this table, the abbreviation zzp is used for both care gravity package and care profile. Data available from: 2009 Status of the figures: The figures for the last year are provisional, the figures for the other years are final. The figures in this table are based on data from the Centre Indicationstelling Zorg (CIZ). Changes as of 14 September 2021: Preliminary figures for 2020 have been added and the figures for 2019 have been finalised. When are new figures coming? The provisional figures shall be published no later than 12 months after the end of the reporting year. When new annual figures are published, the figures for the previous year become final.
