Dataset description

This table shows the number and percentage of persons registered in the Basic Registration Persons (BRP) at any time in the reporting year and to whom medicinal products have been provided during the reporting year which are reimbursed under the compulsory basic medical care insurance. Medicines provided to admitted persons in hospitals (hospital care) and nursing homes (AWBZ/Wlz) are not included. Medicines provided to persons in nursing homes are included. The figures are broken down by drug group, income group, age and gender. Data available from: 2012 Status of the figures: Figures for the last year are provisional, figures for previous years are definitive. Changes as of 8 February 2022: The provisional figures for 2020 have been added and the 2019 figures have been finalised. When will there be new figures? First quarter 2023
