Dataset description

This table shows the number and percentage of persons registered in the Basic Persons Registration (BRP) at any time in the reporting year and to whom medicinal products have been provided during the reporting year that are reimbursed under the compulsory basic health insurance. The number of daily doses (DDDs) provided is also shown. Medicines provided to admitted persons in hospitals (hospital care) and nursing homes (Wlz) are not included. Medicines provided to people in nursing homes are included. The figures are broken down by drug group, origin, age and gender. Data available from: 2020 Status of the figures: The figures for 2020 and 2021 are provisional. Amendments as of 14 December 2022: None, this is a new table. This table is the successor to the table 'Persons with medicinal products provided; migration background and generation. See also paragraph 3. When are new figures coming? Fourth quarter 2023.
