Population development; live births, deceased and migration, per day

This table contains data on population development in the Netherlands, per day. In this table, the data can be divided into the following characteristics: — Liveborns; — Deceased; — Marriage agreements (excluding concluded partnership registrations); — Partnership registrations — Divorces (from 2010 including dissolved partnership registrations); — Persons moved within the Netherlands; — Foreign migration; — Nationality changes. Data available from: 1995 Status of the figures: All figures in the table are final. The way in which the population development figures are produced has changed in 2014. As a result, the figures of population development for 2013 in different tables sometimes do not match. The differences are minimal and only occur in 2013. The figures of the monthly totals may differ from the figures per month in other tables. The difference is explained by reports of the previous year received by CBS in the observation year, the so-called fulfilled messages. Because the table shows the exact event date of a birth, a death, and the like in a given observation year, fulfilled messages cannot simply be included herein. This has been fixed in the table by including an “Other” category per year. This category contains the completed messages. For a detailed explanation of ‘observed messages’, please refer to the short survey description ‘Population statistics’, see paragraph 4. Changes as of 19 October 2020: The figures of ‘Persons moved within municipalities’ and ‘Persons moved between municipalities’ in the periods 2012 to 2018 have been corrected. These numbers from these columns were exchanged. The corrections do not affect the other figures in the table. Figures for 2019 have been added. When are new figures coming? In the fourth quarter of 2022, figures for 2020 and 2021 are included in this table.
