Dataset description

The size and composition of the population is of great importance for municipal policy and services. In order to respond to changes in time, it is necessary to understand how the population develops and changes composition in the near and further future. Businesses and private institutions in the city also base their investments and — strategically — choices (also) on these insights. That is why the municipality periodically makes a population and household forecast, based on the latest demographic insights and the current construction program. This report contains the results of the 2013 forecast. The report is limited to the actual results and explicitly does not address the significance for the various policy fields. External sources used: Primos forecast 2011, Provincial forecast Zuid-Holland 2010, PBL/CBS forecast 2011.
