Population; gender, age and nationality on 1 January

This table contains data on the population of the Netherlands as of 1 January by nationality, gender and age. Data available from: 1995 Status of the figures: All figures shown in the table are final figures. Amendments as of 7 June 2022: Figures as of 1 January 2022 have been added. Changes as of 23 March 2022: This table has been revised. The following changes have been made: — gender has been moved from the subjects to a selection; — the ages in years have been extended to the group 105 years or older, the ten-year age groups and other groups have been replaced by five-year age groups (0 to 5 years,..., 95 to 100 years, 100 years or older; — nationalities have been extended to include the groups ‘Central and Eastern European Nationalities in the European Union’ and ‘GIPS Nationalities in the European Union’; — the name change from Swaziland to Eswatini has been processed from 2019, in the old table, as of 2020. — through the use of new source file for 2020, changes have occurred in some ten nationalities. This also affects changes in some continents, the European Union, the GIPS and the CEE countries in the EU, total Dutch nationality and total non-Dutch nationality. — data for 1995 and 2021 has been added. When are new figures coming? In the third quarter of 2023, the figures will be included in this publication as of 1 January 2023.
