Dataset description

In this table you will find an overview of prevention measures against crime based on the Security Monitor Rijk (VMR). It concerns measures against burglary, bicycle theft, car theft and other measures. This always concerns data on the population aged 15 years or older, unless otherwise stated. The national figures and figures by person and neighbourhood characteristics are included. The neighbourhoods are classified according to 6-digit postal codes as described in the table <a href=“https://statline.cbs.nl/StatWeb/publication/?DM=SLNL&PA=70904NED&D1=0,9,12-16,119-122&D2=10073-10091,10093-10096,10099-10125,10127-10141&D3=4&VW=T”>Kerncijfers districts and neighborhoods 2003-2008. The VMR was implemented in the first quarter of the years 2005 to 2008. Because a large part of the VMR relates to experiences in the previous 12 months, the neighbourhood data for the year preceding the interview year of the VMR are linked to this. Due to change in question, research design and/or context, VMR data are not comparable to data from other sources, such as the Integrated Security Monitor (IVM, from 2008 onwards) and previous safety and/or victim surveys. Data available: 2005 to 2008. This table was discontinued by 15-3-2013 and continued as “Prevention measures against crime; police region (IVM)”. See also paragraph 3. Status of the figures: it’s definitely. When are new figures coming? This table was discontinued as of 15-3-2013.
