Dataset description

**Proclaimer Open data portal Eindhoven** The open data portal of the municipality of Eindhoven ([data.eindhoven.nl](https://data.eindhoven.nl/pages/home/)) is created under the responsibility of the municipality of Eindhoven. The municipality takes the utmost care in compiling the content of the datasets published on this website. However, this is no guarantee that the datasets are complete, accurate, up-to-date and correct. **Role Open data portal** In its [coalition agreement 2014-2018](https://www.eindhoven.nl/sites/default/files/2017-07/Coalitieakkoord_2014-2018.pdf) the College of Mayors and Aldermen of the municipality of Eindhoven expressed the ambition to offer its information as much as possible as open data. Open data contributes to the efficiency of the municipal system, promotes innovation and economic growth, increases transparency and citizen participation and connects the municipality with its citizens, entrepreneurs and civil society organisations. Within this context, the open data portal of the municipality of Eindhoven plays a crucial role: the portal aims to be the central place where the municipality makes its information accessible and findable in the most user-friendly way possible, thereby optimising its use. **Information** The open data portal opens up information that the municipality uses in carrying out its public tasks and which is public and reusable within the relevant legal regulations that the municipality has to comply with. Of course, the municipality of Eindhoven strives to provide accurate and up-to-date information via the portal. However, the user must be aware that the information may contain inaccuracies. It should also be borne in mind that the content of the information made available as open data was produced for a particular purpose and in a particular context. The user must therefore check whether his intended use of the open data corresponds to this original context and purpose(s). In addition, the open data portal, in order to serve the user as best as possible, contains references and hyperlinks to information from others than the municipality of Eindhoven. The responsibility for the content, the reliability of this information and the operation of the links lies naturally with these third parties. **Availability** Users cannot claim the provision of information. The municipality of Eindhoven has the right at all times to modify the dataset, to no longer make the dataset available or to otherwise suspend access to the dataset, without a transitional period being respected and without users being personally informed. * Liability** The municipality of Eindhoven excludes any liability for any damage (direct and/or indirect), in any way caused by and/or resulting from any use of these datasets, including — but not only — actions of a user of the datasets that would have been entered by data made available. **Reuse of information** The municipality of Eindhoven strives for the widest possible use of its open data. Therefore, the municipality commits minimum user restrictions to the information it makes available through the portal. **Open Data License** With each dataset on the open data portal of the municipality of Eindhoven it is explicitly stated what the license condition under which the dataset is made available. In most cases, it will concern one of the following licenses: \- Public Domain: [https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/mark/1.0/...](https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/mark/1.0/deed.nl) \- Creative Commons CCZero: <HTTPS://CREATIVECOMMONS.ORG/PUBLICDOMAIN/ZERO/1.0/DEED.NL> \- Creative Commons CC-BY: [https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/deed.n...](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/deed.nl) \- Creative Commons CC-BY-SA: [https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/dee...](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/deed.nl) The links link to a page that contains a brief summary of the license and a reference to the full text of the license terms.
