Dataset description
This map was established by GS on November 18, 2013 and shows the 39 silence areas that the Province of North Holland is rich. The areas with numbers 26 and 28 have expired. The silence areas are included in the Environmental Policy Plan 2015-2018 and enshrined in the Provincial Environmental Regulation (PMV) through the designation as environmental protection areas category silence. The Province plans to revise its policy on quiet areas at the end of 2016. Any adjustments resulting from this will later be included on an updated map. The location of the areas is based on the “Evaluation of Silence Areas” (2001) and Intention Valuation from 1985.
