Dataset description

On 31 January 2003 the governing agreement on sport entered into force, in which the central city and the districts (with the exception of Amsterdam-Centrum) have agreed on the so-called basic sports facilities. In this context, the agreement has also been made that the central city — based on current data to be supplied by the districts — formulates a (regularly updated) accommodation plan in which it is set out ‘how the supply and distribution of sports facilities across the city can meet the needs and wishes of the Amsterdam population’.
