Dataset description

This table provides figures on the rate of sick leave in Dutch companies in the Health and Welfare sector, classified according to the CBS’s Standard Business Classification 2008 (SBI 2008). The determination of the AZW branches is based on the main activity (SBI code) of the company where an employee is employed. This may not be the only activity a company carries out. This table has been developed within the framework of the Labour Market Health and Welfare Research Programme (AZW). For more trends and developments in the labour market in care and well-being, see AZWinfo (see paragraph 3). Data available from: 1st quarter of 2010. Status of the figures: All figures up to 2020 are final. The figures for 2021 are provisional. Changes as of 11 March 2022: The figures for the 4th quarter and the year 2021 have been added. Changes as of 14 December 2021: The figures for Q3 2021 have been added. Furthermore, from this quarter onwards, a method improvement has been implemented with retroactive effect for the figures from the second quarter of 2020. This improvement gives a more precise picture of sick leave in care and well-being narrow with a possible deviation from care and well-being. This only affects AZW narrowly in the second quarter of 2020 (0.1 percentage point difference). Changes as of 14 September 2021: The figures for Q2 2021 have been added. In order to align with the methodology of the source table disease absenteeism rate (80072NED) with figures across all sectors, some already published annual and quarterly health and well-being figures have been slightly revised (minus or plus 0.1 percentage points). The quarterly figures are as follows: — Care and well-being broad: Q1 of 2014, 2020; Q2 of 2014, 2019, 2020; 4th quarter of 2014, 2018. — Care and well-being narrow: First quarter of 2011, 2014, 2020; 2nd quarter of 2010, 2011, 2014, 2020; 3 rd quarter of 2010; 4th quarter of 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018. The annual figures are as follows: — Care and well-being broad: — — Care and well-being narrow: 2010, 2016, 2019. When will there be new figures? This table is supplemented quarterly by new figures.
