Dataset description

This table contains information on police records crime, the suspects heard and the cleared offenses. The figures are given by type of crime, municipal size and size class of the municipalities where the crimes were committed. The type of crime is presented in a number of main groups. The classification of the municipalities is based on the classification in the year following the reporting year. The reason for this is that the reporting exceeds the annual limit and part of the data does not contain information about the “old” municipalities. In order to make the size classes of municipalities more comparable, is the recorded crime related to the population from 12-79 years in that class. The figures presented by city size are always excluding the data from the Royal Marechaussee and of the national police services because they cannot be special to individual municipalities let’s go. The classification of the municipalities is based on the classification in the year following the reporting year. The table was discontinued on 7 July 2010. On registered crime is a new series from 2005 onwards listed in the table: Gereg.crime; crimes by type of crime and the police region.
