Dataset description

In this table you will find figures on the number of payment accounts with a debt and the amount of this debt amount. As of 1976, a new series was launched due to a renewed set-up of statistics and by extending the reporter’s file. As of 1992, a new series was launched following the entry into force of the Consumer Credit Act (Wck). As of January 2007, a new series was launched in connection with improved delivery by reporters. Data available from December 1970 to June 2013. Status of the figures: The data for January 2012 to June 2013 are provisional. As this table has been discontinued, the data will no longer be definitive. The figures in this table are provisional at first publication. In the month of July, the results of the previous year shall be definitively determined on the basis of the annual statement of all lenders. The figures for the months January to May of the current year will also be adjusted but remain provisional. Interim adjustments are made by the availability of new or additional data from some respondents. Changes as of 28 August 2013: The provisional figures for June 2013 have been added and the table has been discontinued. When are new figures coming? No longer applicable. This table is followed by red stand on payment accounts. See paragraph 3.
